ON THE COVER: British dollmaker and caution James Carrington returns for his second November cover in a row. His "Miss Beaucham" shows us how a well-dressed lady presented herself to the public in mid-Victorian England. His work is part of an extraordinary gallery of never-before-seen dolls from 34 different artists put together by the heroic efforts of Martha and Michael Puff. Many of the artists willingly delayed introducing their new work in order to appear in this article, which starts on page 32. We thank all of the dollmakers, as well as Martha and Michael, for making this special event possible.
