Dolls houses
are very popular both as children’s toy as well as
an adult’s hobby. As a hobby an adult collects different
types of dolls houses which are custom made or decorated
with accessories and detailing of his choice. People allover
the world have joined into this bandwagon and are collecting
dolls houses. Dolls houses have now developed into a major
hobby. Collectors are making or creating unique dolls houses
and furnishings or even possessing standard ones from the
many makers of dollhouses. This has virtually created a
community of collectors of dollhouses.
Collecting dollhouses is only a part of the hobby of collecting
miniatures. Other miniatures that can be collected or created,
apart from dollhouses are miniature gardens, shops, hotels,
pubs restaurants and café’s. However almost
every miniaturist devotes much his time and effort into
the art of creating and collecting dollhouses.
We have a wide range of dollhouses in our shop both for
children and adults. The dollhouses are also available in
assembled form. The Walmer Lilliput dollhouses are an example
of our medium range of dollhouses. They are made in 3/8
“to ¼ size ranges with high quality plywood.
It has all the features of an actual house with rooms like
bedrooms, dining rooms, drawing room, kitchen and bath rooms.
The styles that you can get in the models of this range
of dollhouses can be colonial, Victorian, American farm
house among others.
Our concept series dollhouses have dollhouses built in
3/8 plywood and are available in finished form. They are
more complicated in the sense that they have provision for
room additions as well as dormers, and straight porches
among many other features.
