American companies entered in the miniature doll house production scenario in the early part of nineteenth century. With help of Bliss Manufacturing Company and TynieToy Company of Providence, Rhode Island the miniature doll house industry of United States initiated its' journey.

Soon after the completion of World War II, doll house miniatures were started to produce on a mass basis. One of the major changes that this phase experienced was the less detailed workmanship. As the production of doll house miniatures turned into a massive and large scale affair more importance was paid on the production rather than the detail.

As the time progressed to 1950s, the usual doll house miniatures were started to sold on commercial basis. These doll house miniatures were painted with sheet metal and filled with plastic furniture.
